IT’S TIME THE INDIAN MIDDLE CLASS REALISE THEIR SIGNIFICANCE: First of all, a big thank you! I, Avinash Thakur, a software engineer by profession, compliment the team behind the Middle Class Hub for coming up with this much needed platform.
The Indian middle class is so used to compromising on their desires that they don’t have any expectations from anyone. Honestly speaking, it’s not about the kind of relief that big corporates often get by way of bailout that I am talking about. The matter of concern, when it comes to the Indian middle class, is the fact that they don’t even get the credit where it’s due. A large part of the blame lies with us – we never felt the need to come together and speak in one voice. In today’s time, you are heard only when you make some noise; unfortunately, we don’t even speak up forget about being vociferous about our aspirations and demands.
Remember, we constitute the largest percentage of the taxpaying citizens of this country. We play a very important role in the development programmes of the government. In fact, without us, they won’t be able to grant loan waivers to farmers and bailouts to corporates! It’s time the Indian middle class realise their significance, and form pressure groups to safeguard their interests.
